On June 23 2013 - one month after we first met during a buzzing night out in Copenhagen - Oliver uttered the words "I want to be yours" to Elin. Exactly five years of travels and adventures later - on June 23 2018 - we are getting married in dreamy Andalucía. We are beyond excited to invite you to share this special day with us. Location & nearest airport
Our outdoor wedding will be held in the garden of the secluded Casa del Rio, 1.5 km from the whitewashed, Moorish mountain village of Benahávis - known for its excellent regional food.
Málaga Airport is 50 min drive away. Norwegian, SAS, British Airways, Air Lingus and Iberia have direct routes from many cities. Find your best route at Momondo or Google Flights.

June 22, 19.00: The Farm, Marbella (map). Get into the perfect holiday mood with some tapas & a few drinks on us! Expect good vibes, getting to know each other, laughter and Spanish guitar!
June 23, fr 16.00 (Ceremony at 17.00): Wedding at Casa del Rio, Benahavís. This is where the magic will happen! Please come hungry, thirsty and happy!
June 24, 13.00: post-wedding pool chill, Casa del Rio. Sundays are for recovery! Except we will spice it up with pool time, chill tunes, spanish food and sangría! Bring swim gear, towel, sun protection!

Andalucía is home to The Alhambra in Granada, the Mezquita in Córdoba, the Alcazar and the Barrio de Santa Cruz in Seville. But beyond the beaten path awaits an enchanting world of Moorish charm in the picturesque Pueblos Blancos. Lovely accommodation options await you in Benahavís close to where the wedding venue is located. While there are many villages within reach, Benahavís is by far the closest to the wedding. See our recommended hotel as well as other options below.
Gran Hotel Benahavís SPA
Wedding deal! We have made a special deal with the beautiful Gran Hotel Benehávis SPA, 1,5km from the wedding venue. If you seek optimal convenience and value for money while getting a luxury hotel experience including complimentary SPA treatments, this place is for you.
Wedding Rates:
- 2-3 Nights: 112.5€/night for a standard double/twin room
- 5 Nights: 108.5€/night for a standard double/twin room
- 7 Nights: 104.5€/night for a standard double/twin room
Prices Include: Breakfast buffet, 10% VAT, 1 hour SPA time per person per every 2 nights booked (includes access to sauna, the jacuzzis, gym, etc. OBS! SPA treatment not included but the hotel offers a discount of 15% for any treatment).

Q: I want to make a speech! Who is the Toastmaster? A: who else than our beloved friend Faraz! Let him know if you want to make a speech: faraz.hashemzadeh@gmail.com.
Q: Dress code? A: Free spirited / Smart Casual. Ladies, we will be on a lawn; choose your footwear accordingly and feel free to kick them off at any time.
Q: How hot will it be? A: Historical avg. for 23/6: 26°, 2017: 33°. As we will be outdoors, consider wearing a sun hat, sun screen, and maybe a scarf to cover up.
Q: What do you want as a wedding gift? A: No gifts please, your presence is more than enough. But we will choose a charity for those of you who want to donate. Google will match 100% of the amount we get!
Q: What should we bring? A: Your smiley selves! Consider bringing swim gear & a towel for Saturday and certainly for Sunday. The venue has a beautiful pool!
Q: Are kids allowed? A: unless you have a newborn, we ask you to please try not to bring your kids. As much as we love them, they would make up 20% of the party if everyone brought their little ones :) Hope you understand!

Transportation
From Malaga Airport to Benahavís: As most of you will fly to/from Malaga Airport at different times, we have decided to not arrange an organized pick up. Taxi and/or car rental is by far the easiest, so consider car pooling with other guests! We suggest using our Facebook group to get organized. Taxi is about 78€ for 4 people. If you prefer bus you will need to go from Malaga airport to Marbella from where you will need to take another bus to San Pedro de Alcantára, and then taxi to Benahavís (bus schedule from the airport here).
To Marbella for Friday's pre-wedding: We will arrange a bus from Benahavís to Marbella. To return to Benahavís, please share taxis (we have nog booked a bus since everyone will want to leave at different times). Taxis take 20 mins and shound be roughly €23.
To the wedding venue Saturday: The wedding venue only has two parking lots and they will be reserved for catering and other suppliers. So please do not bring your own car to the wedding. We will arrange pick ups to and from Benahavís-Casa del Rio for Saturday! The road is small so two mini busses will rotate. The busses leave at 15.45 from Gran Hotel Benahavís. Please be there in time :)
Local taxis: taxi number in Benahavís is +34 952 869 090 and their website is www.taxibenahavis.com/en/ - since it is a small town booking ahead is essential.
